Thank you for putting your best foot forward for the
Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Nonsuch Park Mile
Epsom and Ewell council want to say a Big Thank You to you all...
More than 1,000 local people once again turned out in force on Sunday 23 March at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Nonsuch Park which is the ninth biggest in the country. Milers of all ages were sponsored to do one, three or six miles around Nonsuch Park.
The day was a huge success with friends, families and work mates all joining together to go the extra mile for Sport Relief 2014. The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Nonsuch Park Mile set off in four waves 10.30, 12.00, 13.30 and 15.00 and included a variety of activities creating a real festive atmosphere.
Councillor Jan Mason, Chairman of the Leisure Committee said: “A big thank you to everyone who took part in the Sport Relief Nonsuch Park Mile. It was an amazing day! Watching the community come together to support such a great cause was brilliant! We feel so proud knowing that the money raised here today will help people living really tough lives right here in Surrey, the UK and across the world.
“A special thank you to paralympian Sophia Warner who kick started the first wave at 10.30am, the Epsom Youth Jazz Ensemble and all our volunteers including the Air Cadets and the students of Nonsuch High School for Girls who made sure the event was a great success."
