Hatty’s Sweet Shop in The Ashley Centre has just launched a competition to design a brand new sweet for Epsom! The competition is open to anyone and the winning sweet will be manufactured and on sale this Autumn.
Epsom’s very own Willy Wonka - Harriette Coleman, owner of Hatty’s Sweet Shop said: “We want to create a new and unique sweet that has never been seen or tasted before. The competition is open to anyone and the winner will not only see their sweet produced, they will also win a year’s supply of free sweets! The judges will shortlist 10 entries and then we are going to ask the public to vote for their favourite.”
To be in with the chance of winning, entrants are asked to design the sweet of their dreams on an A4 size sheet of paper or on one of the entry forms available from The Ashley Centre. The more detail included on the design the better, and entries don’t have to be drawn well, just so long as the judges know what shape, flavour, colour, layers, individuality and the sweet’s name and simple drawing.
Entries must be posted into the competition box outside Hatty’s Sweet Shop by the closing date 26 August 2013. The winning sweet will be manufactured and revealed on 25 October, Hatty’s Sweet Shop first anniversary.
