A saddle, grooming kit, bridal kit and five horse rugs were taken from a livery yard in Chalk Lane, Epsom last Saturday..
Stolen items also included horse feed, a leather riding crop, five head collars, four wheelbarrows and horse tack.
Epsom and Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Team’s Facebook page said the theft of equipment worth about £2,050 had a ‘devastating effect’ on those involved.
In response officers want to help get saddles marked to prevent further crime. Email the team on epsom@surrey.police.uk to arrange for this.
Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference EP/13/1652, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
