Flights in and out of Gatwick Airport have been suspended after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing after smoke was reported in the cabin.
Virgin flight VS027 had left the West Sussex airport at 10:48 BST and was bound for Orlando in the US when it had to return to make the landing.
Passengers have been evacuated by emergency services, an airport spokeswoman said.
There are expected to be "major delays" on incoming and outgoing flights.
A Gatwick Airport spokeswoman said: "It has made a safe emergency landing."

1350: A Virgin A330 left Gatwick at 1048 bound for Orlando but returned to make an emergency landing at 1230 due to reports of a technical issue. The aircraft made a safe landing, the emergency services are on the scene and passengers have been safely disembarked from the plane. All flights in and out of Gatwick are currently suspended until further notice.
