The annual Epsom & Ewell Sports Awards 2015 provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise and reward local athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams and clubs for their outstanding achievements in sport over the past 12 months. The Awards are organised by Epsom & Ewell Sports and Leisure Council, in partnership with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and will be held on Tuesday 6 October at Epsom Downs Racecourse who is the headline sponsor for 2015.  

Each year there are 10 different awards, with each award sponsored by a local organisation or business. You can nominate athletes, volunteers, teams and coaches for the following awards: 

• Better Sports Personality of the Year Award
• Epsom Gymnastics & Trampoline Club Young Sports Personality of the Year
• Aon Hewitt Sports Club of the Year
• Active Surrey Coach of the Year
• Epsom Golf Club Sports Team of the Year
• AFC Ewell Young Sports Team of the Year
• Epsom & Ewell Football Club Disability Sports Award
• Epsom & Ewell Colts Football Club Volunteer of the Year
• Surrey County Playing Fields Association Young Volunteer of the Year
• The Rotary Club Outstanding Service to Sport

All local winners will then go through to the assessment panel for the Surrey Sports Awards 2015, providing they meet the county nomination criteria. The short-list for the county awards ceremony is announced in November, showcasing the very best of sporting talent and dedication in Surrey. Criteria for all awards: 

• Nominees must be a resident, attend a school or be a member of a sports club in the Borough of Epsom & Ewell.
• All achievements must have taken place between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015.
• Nominees are required to meet a minimum of two criteria from the list to be considered for the award.
• There are age criteria for some of the award categories - these are displayed where applicable.
• Categories that have no age restrictions are open to any age. If your nomination is for someone under 18 years old please ensure their parent/guardian is made aware.
• The decision of the independent selection panel is final and will be based on the information provided within this application.
• By nominating, you are giving consent for the nominee to be passed onto county, regional and national awards.
• Entries must be received no later than midnight on 31 August 2015.
