Girlguiding Epsom would like to thank The Ashley Centre for making them their Charity of the Year 2015 and enabling the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides to fundraise a fantastic total of £3,411.65 during 2015!
County Commissioner Elaine Edwards said: "Girlguiding Epsom currently has a campsite called Little Acres near Horton Country Park. We are fundraising to build a lodge at the campsite so there will be indoor facilities as well as camping opportunities. Well over half the total needed has already been raised and we are working hard on fundraising for the rest of the money needed. We are very grateful to The Ashley Centre for their support and giving us so many opportunities to fundraise in the Centre and we would also like to thank Marks and Spencer for letting us bag pack in their store!"
Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. Girlguiding Epsom runs Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units where girls and young women have a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. They enjoy a varied programme of activities, days out, camping and pack holidays.
