On 20 March 2024 the sun shone on 40 of the Epsom and Ewell Veterans Hub members last week, on their coach outing to the D- Day Museum at Portsmouth.
After some refreshments on arrival there was a guided tour of the ‘Overlord’ Embroidery, which was sewn 60 years ago to commemorate the allied landings in France in June 1944.
Lunch was arranged by the museum followed by a fascinating talk from a guide on the secrecy surrounding the invasion ,and then there was an opportunity to tour the museum, finishing with a group photo outside, before heading home
Such a memorable and enjoyable day..
