Months of snow and freezing temperatures failed to deter gardeners who staged a spring flower show at the weekend.
Spring bulbs and flowers as well photographs and crafts went on display at Epsom Garden Society’s Spring Show on Saturday at St Martin’s Junior School in Ashley Road, Epsom.
Hundreds turned up to view the 200 exhibits.
EGS show secretary Jill Farnham said: "Considering the weather, with heavy snow and the rest, we had a very good turnout. We were extremely pleased.
"There’s very little in the gardens at the moment because the weather is so atrocious but we had an extremely good display of spring flowers and bulbs."
The society has a growing number of junior exhibitors and this year children under 14 years old contributed 34 exhibits.
Judging took place for the categories of daffodils, flowers, home craft, photography, flower arrangement and the junior exhibits.
Chris Beere won the Helen Reed Cup for daffodils and the President’s Cup for flowers while Margaret Angus took away the rosette for the very best flower and bulb exhibit.
