Thanks to fundraising in The Ashley Centre, Epsom a third puppy has been sponsored to join the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association puppy training scheme.
“Ashley 3”, a black labrador was born on 29 April 2020, and will soon be placed with his Puppy Walker, who will start to teach him the skills that he will need as a future guide. After 24 months of training, Ashley 3 will give freedom and independence to someone with sight loss.
For anyone who has serious visual impairment, a guide dog can help them become more independent and mobile. Highly trained to support them in navigating any mobility challenges they may face, guide dogs are a great way to get visually impaired people out and about with confidence.
The total raised in The Ashley Centre for Guide Dogs for the Blind has now reached an incredible £22,943!
Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs is here to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. They rely on donations to continue their life-changing work. Every pound raised makes a difference to people in the UK living with sight loss.
