Banstead May Queen Committee
The May Fayre Started in 1985 as a small village fayre. It has grown into a major event for the whole community of Banstead. The Day is organised by the Banstead Village May Queen Group Committee. The Group comprises of 20 Banstead Families who meet monthly to plan the parade, crowning of the May Queen and the fayre.
The May Queen is the child of one of the organising group, as are her Prince and attendants and all live in or have strong ties to Banstead.
Each year, the group organises The Banstead Village May Fayre on the Saturday of the May bank holiday weekend. The Family of the May Queen decides on the Charity supported during their reigning year.
