The annual Princess Alice Hospice Fete and Dog Show is taking place slightly earlier this year, so on Sunday 22 May at 12:00 noon, the Friends of Princess Alice Hospice will open its doors and garden to supporters, volunteers, with many patients and their families taking the opportunity to visit and enjoy the event.
A few recognisable guests this year include Darth Vader, a couple of Stormtroopers and a Biker Scout, of 80s SCI FI film fame. The Hospice is very proud to have the support of UK Garrison and is excited to announce that there will be the opportunity for supporters to have their photographs taken with the iconic characters in exchange for a donation to the charity.
Returning for the third time is the hugely popular and fun dog show, classes will include best trick, best veteran, waggiest tail, prettiest pooch and handsome hound to name but a few. The emphasis is on fun and the show is open to mongrels and pedigree dogs alike. There are a few classes requiring owner involvement. Maybe you have great pins and you fancy winning the best six legs contest or perhaps you and your pooch bear a striking resemblance to one another and you will walk away with the dog most like its owner award.
This year there will be a special balloon release, high quality shopping stalls, cream teas, BBQ, cake stalls, children’s attractions and many other activities and entertainment to keep the whole family happy.
The Fete & Dog Show on Sunday 22 May is open from 12:00 to 4:00pm. Entry is £3 with children under 16 getting in free.
