Evesham shopkeepers are being encouraged by VECTA to stay open until 7pm on December 3, 10 and 17 for the benefit of Evesham Christmas shoppers.
The Riverside Shopping Centre will be staying open until 7pm on these dates and VECTA is encouraging other Evesham retailers to follow suit.
Birdseye Sports & The School Shops’ Louise Bugg who is a committee member of VECTA, is co-ordinating the evenings on behalf of the association said there were a number of outdoor events that would encourage people into Evesham including the lights switch-on on Sunday planned for November 22, and the open air ice rink, She said: “There will be lots going on in the Market Square. In addition we hope to have a friendly Father Christmas welcoming people to town by walking around handing out balloons to the children.”
