Evesham Relay for Life looks like being a brilliant fundraiser for Cancer Research this year again. The event that grows year on year takes place at Evesham High School on the weekend of 26th and 27th June.
Often confused with the Race for Life, this is a 24 hour event with 30 teams all having a team member walking at some stage during the 24 hours from Midday Saturday to Midday Sunday.
Whilst the money raising event is on the crowd of up to 1000 will be entertained with Live Bands including the Irony, Evesham Choir and our own Eveshams got Talent event on Saturday afternoon.For the full programme of events you need to come along.
There will be catering on site from Subway and Rilys as well as the ladies from the WI doing light refreshments. These events rely on help , support and Sponsorship from local Evesham area businesses and (amongst others) there has been financial and in-kind support from Midway Hire, The Accountancy Office, The Best of Evesham , Troughtons Transport , IDS Transport.Complete Spas, MWS Aerials, Vale Balloons and Snowdrops Florists to name a few.
Everyone is welcome ( for a donation !!) so do visit the Relay village at the school and have fun whilst doing good. Many people on site have either suffered Cancer or been touched by Cancer in some way.
