EXETER Racecourse’s recent addition of Christmas parties and lunches to the services it already offers in the conference centre is proving a significant draw with businesses in and around Exeter taking up the chance to entertain their staff and colleagues on non-racedays.
Conference and events manager Michelle Thomas said: “The racecourse is an extremely popular location for meetings, events and conferences and after one or two people asked if they could have their Christmas parties and lunches here, we decided to organise everything, from start to finish.
“Its proving to be a popular addition to the services we already offer at Exeter and we’re really looking forward to putting on some great parties for an evening to remember.”
Christmas evening parties for either mixed or shared celebrations will be staged on seven dates in the lead up to Christmas with four already fully booked. The remaining dates are the 4th, 17th and 18th December. A minimum of ten people are required for evening events and costs £29.95 plus VAT per person. This includes Bucks Fizz on arrival, a three course Christmas dinner, a fun casino table, and a live band.
Christmas lunches at the racecourse have also proved popular. Michelle said: “We have three days for Christmas lunches on December 20, 21 and 22 and again, with it being a different location, they’ve been popular. At just £25 per head for a traditional three course meal, some christmas fun and games and the chance to win a day at the races, it is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.”
