Duty Officer at Culm Valley Sports Centre (dry site) in Cullompton. Your responsibility will be to manage and develop the Front of House services and ensure an exemplary level of customer service is delivered at all times. In addition you will undertake the lead on sales to drive forward Zest memberships. You will need to be results driven and have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets. Sales and hands on operational management is essential.

Duty Officer at Exe Valley Leisure Centre (wet/dry site) in Tiverton. Your responsibility will be to lead the Health and Fitness facilities and services, ensuring a quality programme of fitness classes and fitness studio activities, achieved by leading and developing a team of fitness and class instructors. You will also be responsible for the member journey and developing retention systems. You will need to be results driven and have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets. A personal interest and background in Health & Fitness with hands on operational management is essential.

Working as the manager on duty you will be responsible for dealing with the day to day operational needs of the facility and working closely with a strategic line manager in order to develop your specialist area. We are currently undertaking change in significant areas of the business with a new direction and development strategy, and your experience in handling change management whilst being able to keep the drive and focus to succeed when it gets tough will be an advantage. You will be responsible for the service delivery within your area of specialism, contributing to the wider goals of the organisation and your performance will contribute to achieving the challenging budgets for income, expenditure and participation. Demonstrable experience of managing a team and specialism within the Leisure industry with relevant qualifications in your preferred specialism will be required. You will be required to work 37 hours per week on a shift pattern and commit to working early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays with 2 other Duty Officers at the facility and will also work closely with the Duty Officers across the three sites, particularly within your area of specialism, and will be required to work across the 3 leisure sites to ensure consistency. You must have strong communication and decision making skills, be a leader and act with empathy and inspiration and thrive as part of a team.
