Wise Goose School of Coaching based in Chagford announces Sybille Schiffmann as new Chair on their board. Sybille’s role is to act as a sounding board; working with Wise Goose’s founder Helen Sieroda to assess the strategy and goals for growth, including exploring new opportunities.
Helen met Sybille through Exeter University, Centre for Leadership Studies, where they were both affiliates, and where the duo developed a close-working relationship. In addition to her role as Chair, Sybille will be delivering foundation courses and co-training with Helen.
Wise Goose offers a large range of high-quality services, including accredited programmes and bespoke courses tailored to meet the specific needs and challenges of individuals and organisations. In 2020 they are launching ‘One-Day Steps into Coaching’ held in both Devon and London and open to all.
Helen Sieroda said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Sybille as our new Chair, a role where she will add immense value, support and experience. Sybille is ‘top of her game’, as well as bringing her expertise in organizational strategy, she also has excellent connections across the South West.
She adds: “Most importantly I trust Sybille to have the best interests of Wise Goose at heart. She will provide a space for discussion about what matters most and whilst we will have a lot of fun working together, she won’t shy away from difficult or challenging topics. I’m really looking forward to working with Sybille on this exciting new era for Wise Goose Coaching.”
Sybille currently works within health, local government, higher education, cultural organisations and charities as well as in the private sector. Prior to that, she worked for six years for the Futures Entrepreneurship Centre at Plymouth University. As an Executive Education Director, and doctoral researcher in relational leadership, she designed and led bespoke leadership and enterprise solutions for some of the largest employers and community interest companies in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall and internationally. She continues to research relational leadership within social sector organisations.
In her new role, Sybille will provide further development support of Wise Goose, helping to take it to the next level.
Sybille comments: “I’m delighted to be working closely with Helen as I highly respect the calibre and quality of the coaching offer at Wise Goose, which is very much in line with my values. What really attracted me to this position was their ethos and the operating principles. This is a company that really cares deeply about effectively supporting and facilitating the growth and development of others; be they coaches, individuals, or professionals, seeking to develop their coaching capability and work more effectively as leaders. The positive impact Wise Goose has on others is enormous and this is a great privilege for me to be involved in its continued success”.
