The East Devon Day Hospice
Our new day hospice will be a vibrant community hub, providing specialist care to terminally ill patients to help maintain people’s independence and quality of life closer to home. We will provide nurse-led care, giving patients a range of treatments including: pain relief, complementary therapies and social care as well as providing much-needed support for carers, bereavement support and training to healthcare professionals in the area.
The Bathroom
This large room at the new hospice will be equipped to feel warm, comfortable, and most of all, safe. With all the comforts of home, but with the benefit of specialist equipment our patients will be able to take a fully immersed bath with all the support they need. Fittings include a whirlpool bath and a hoist so those who are less mobile can safely enjoy a relaxing bath, which they can no longer do at home.
