Anybody who would like to find out more about the care and support which the charity offers to those facing a serious progressive illness, such as cancer, motor neurone disease or lung disease, is welcome to drop in. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to greet visitors and answer any questions they may have, in the relaxed and informal setting of the Hospice Dove Lounge.
Phyllis Tuckwell offers outstanding end of life care, supporting over 250 patients and relatives every day – not only at the Hospice in Farnham, but also at the Beacon Centre in Guildford and in patients’ own homes – through a mix of medical and clinical care, therapies, counselling, social work and practical support.
These Open House afternoons will coincide with the last hour of the charity’s Tuesday Day Hospice sessions, which run from 10am to 3pm. The overlap will give those visiting an opportunity to see how a Day Hospice session runs, as well as being able to meet and chat with the nurses there and see the Hospice building and facilities.
If you are interested in finding out more about local Hospice Care, Phyllis Tuckwell would like to invite you along to one of these Open House afternoons. There is no need to let them know that you are coming, just drop in to find out more about how Hospice Care can make a positive difference to you and your family.
The Hospice building is situated on the corner of Menin Way and Waverley Lane, Farnham, GU9 8BL. For more information about the Open House sessions call Karen McEvoy on 01252 729411 or emailkaren.mcevoy@pth.org.uk
