The Berry family have run KBO ever since it was founded in 1988, and many people are familiar with the original key-cutting and locksmith store in Aldershot. The business offers complete security solutions for homes and businesses, from alarm systems and CCTV to sophisticated fire detection and biometric access control.
“It’s time for me to take things a little more slowly,” said Kevin Berry, who founded the firm and has worked there alongside his wife, Ann-Marie for 30 years. “We couldn’t be more pleased that all of our boys have come into the firm, learning the ropes from the very beginning and with a combined 45 years’ experience between them. They’re now all specialists in their field and we’re looking forward to seeing them write the next chapter for KBO.”
Based just outside Farnham, the business now employs over 40 staff, and handles all the site visits, installations and maintenance contracts in-house.
“I’ve been working for the business for 14 years now,” said Lee Berry, who has taken over from his father as Managing Director. “The company has grown so much in that time, but still very much remains a family business, I’m fortunate to also have my brothers Stefan and Chris working closely by my side to ensure we provide the best service possible.
For all of us, the business is something we’ve grown up with and we’re really proud of the reputation we have. Our father has taught us the value of excellent customer service and that’s at the heart of everything we do.”
“Our aim is to make sure everyone knows just how broad our service base is. As an independent company, we’re not tied to any manufacturer, which means we can recommend the best fire and security systems for any home and business – and then fit and maintain them, all with a single point of contact. We want to be the best in giving people the traditional customer service they want, alongside the latest technology.”
The company has launched a new website this month at www.kbosecurity.co.uk.
