Head over to London’s 2012 Olympic Park to take part in Phyllis Tuckwell’s London ArcelorMittal Orbit abseil, and see the city’s skyline from 262 feet up!

As well as giving you a bird’s eye view of London, this unmissable opportunity will also raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell, your local Hospice Care charity, which provides supportive and end of life care for those facing cancer, or another serious progressive illness, across West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Every day the charity supports over 250 patients and relatives in their own homes, in the community, at the Hospice in Farnham and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, through a mix of medical care, nursing, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support. However, as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, is has to raise over £15,000 a day to be able to do this - which is why fundraising initiatives such as the ArcelorMittal Orbit abseil are so important.

“The ArcelorMittal Orbit abseil is the UK’s highest freefall abseil, setting an incredible challenge for those with a head for heights!” says Fiona Chapman, Events Fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell.

The abseil will take place on Saturday 10th October. Registration is £50, with a minimum sponsorship of £350. Call 01252 729446 or email fundraising@pth.org.uk to find out more or visit the Phyllis Tuckwell website to register.
