Join Fife Out and About Walking Group for this lovely walk organised as part of the Kirkcaldy Walking Festival. Our 8.5 mile route starts from Ravenscraig Park and explores the coastline and inland countryside between Kirkcaldy and East Wemyss. Along the way we will discover the industrial heritage of the area, peaceful woodlands, the Wemyss Estate, the line of a disused railway, ancient sea caves, a ruined castle and coastal scenery.

Start location: Ravenscraig Park, Kirkcaldy
End location: East Wemyss, for bus back to Kirkcaldy
Duration: approx. 5 hours
Walk length: 8.5 miles (can be shortened)
Ability level: Best suited to walkers who are comfortable with uneven ground.
Terrain: Undulating on paths (uneven) and tracks. Some short sections on pavement/road. Could be muddy in places after heavy rain.
Wheelchair/Buggy: No.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs on short leads (less than 2m). Must be under close control at all times. Dog waste must be bagged and binned.
Child friendly: Over 12’s only. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
