Paint Fleet Blue Week 20 – 26 March 2017
Following on from the success of the Paint Fleet Pink Week in October 2015 which raised over £30,000 for the Frimley Park Hospital Breast Care Appeal Paint Fleet Blue Week is taking place from 20 to 26 March raising money for Fleet Lions prostate cancer screening.
What else is happening?
We are currently finalising the events for the week but these will include a curry night, decorating the town in blue to raise awareness of the campaign and a collection in the Hart Shopping Centre. There is a fishing competition, a quiz night, the Riding for the Disabled fundraising events , Sugarplum Boutique & Home are holding a Shopping Evening and local businesses will be holding cake sales or fundraising through the week.
Why?
With one man every hour dying from prostate cancer, 40,000 new cases every year and no national screening available, the Lions Club of Fleet aim to provide a FREE PSA blood test to as many men over 45 as possible. It's well proven that early detection and treatment may vastly increase the chances of survival.
Get involved
We are asking as many businesses, retailers, clubs, societies, shops, schools, pre-schools and nurseries as possible to get involved and specifically we would like to request your involvement in this fundraising campaign through:
