Spooky Goings on for Halloween 2015

Its that spooky time of year, when we create our Jack o' Lanterns, pumpkin pies, roasted pumpkin seeds and lots and lots of trick or treat fun.

So here is a quick round up of what half term activity and spooky going ons are happening in and around Fleet.

Wellington Country Park

Once again its another jam packed week of Spooktastic fun:

  • Creepy Craft Room - from 10:30am - 4:00pm this is included in your admission fee.
  • Come in from the cold and get creative in our FREE craft room! Why not try and make a spooky spider or scary mask!
  • When you’re in out craft room, look out for *Face Painting which will be open daily from 11:00am – 4:00pm. (*Please note fee applies)
  • Pumpkin Carving Tent from 10:30am – 4:00pm*Please note fee applies. Take a trip to our pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin to carve in our Pumpkin Tent. All equipment is provided. *£2.50 per pumpkin.
  • Why not enter our Pumpkin Carving Competition for the chance to WIN a bag of Wellington Goodies!
  • Haunted Halloween Train Ride from 10:30am – 4:00pm*Please note fee applies. Join us at our Miniature rRailway for our haunted Halloween train ride (don’t worry it’s not really haunted!)

*£1.50 per ride for Day Visitors and Campers aged 3+ / *£1.00 per ride for Season Ticket Holders

  • Witches Treasure Hunt available from 10:30am – 4:00pm Included in your admission fee. Can you spot the witches hiding around the Park? Pick up your FREE treasure hunt from the Main Reception for the chance to WIN some Wellington Goodies

Frogmore Leisure Centre have their half term activity programme with a variety of activities and sports - either for full days or individual sessions.

Secretts will be once again firing up their tractor to take you on a bumpy but fun ride to pick your own pumkin, rides will run daily from Monday 26th - Friday 30th October from 11am -3pm (£1.00 per person)

We will be running pumpkin biscuit decorating everyday during half term from 10.30am – 3.30pm (£1.50 per biscuit)

Manydown Farm is running its fun pumpkin picking and carving event again this year.  From 22nd October to 1st November come and join in on the halloween fun, check their page for full activities.

How about some Halloween fun on the Basingstoke Canal? There will be spooky crafts and games on the John Pinkerton with a trip to Odiham Castle. We will be making and flying bats and casting a magic spell. This is the third year for our half term trips and they are back by popular demand. The trip is fancy dress and you will see the our motley crew as witches and wizards. Want to know more check our face book page for our previous trips.

At the West End Centre in Aldershot on October 31, come and celebrate Halloween with an interactive animal handling session featuring all your favourite creepy crawlies, furry friends, and things that go bump in the night. For the older scar-a-holics amongst us why not visit Camberley Theatre, to see CIRCUS OF HORRORS: The show that stormed into the finals of Britain's Got Talent and now a West End smash is back to mark its 21st anniversary in spectacular style on October 27. Expect decrepit zombies, Killer Klowns, Sword Swallowers, Demon Dwarfs, acrobats and more. Address: Camberley Theatre, Knoll Road, GU15 3SY. Fun for all the family at the Halloween Walk around Fleet Pond, on Friday 30th October 4.30-6.30pm,  £5 per child and you get to dress up in your scariest costume and carve a pumpkin.  Then together we will dare to venture around the eerie Fleet Pond exploring the cark with our lanterns. Do you dare to complete their challenge? what will you find?

And if you've had enough of Halloween and want to enjoy the rugby instead why not go to The Barley Mow in Winchfield where they are screening the Rugby World Cup final.
