They operate successfully throughout the Forest of Dean area and beyond.
This is a highly professional business who primarily provide and install solid fuel and wood burning stoves and line and/or rebuild chimneys. They also sell stoves on a supply only basis and keep in stock the most commonly used chimney fitting parts and liners. Their showrooms keep a stock of fireside accessories and stove consumables and Green Man Stoves also offers a stove servicing and chimney sweeping service.
Installing stoves and lining chimneys are all that they do.
They have probably seen all types and states of chimney and stove during their 14 years of trading, and are proud to call themselves specialists. All staff have attended the required HETAS courses, but the work experience they have which solely revolves around stoves and chimneys means they have a knowledge base difficult to rival.
Green Man Stoves are now able to offer you 0% monthly payment plans
Over 6 or 12 months. Green Man Stoves uses Divido, a UK finance provider. Divido (Divido Financial Services Limited) lets customers spread the cost of any purchase over a period of time and is authorised and regulated by the financial conduct authority. Green Man Stoves have a large showroom
Just outside Ross-on-Wye, which means you have access to trained, knowledgeable staff 6 days a week either on the telephone or in person who are dedicated to looking after you. They can guarantee excellent after sales service and pride themselves on offering sound honest advice. Probably contrary to good business sense, if they feel a stove is not for you – they will tell you!
Green Man Stoves have built up solid relationships with their suppliers.
Because they only deal with chimneys and stoves, they give a lot of business to their suppliers and can rely on them to support their after sales service. Because they are installers as well as retailers, they can make informed choices about which stoves they sell. All of their stoves install well, perform well, provide good value for money and benefit from good manufacturer after sales service. If a stove doesn’t tick all of those boxes, they don’t sell it! Should you choose a stove they don’t prefer to stock they may be reluctant or even refuse to install it. This is not sour grapes, this is a conscious business decision based upon protecting their reputation. If they install a stove they know will not delight you or perform well, invariably your disappointment will be grafted onto their brand – something they obviously want to avoid!
Green Man Stoves are main dealers for many stove brands: PureVision, Fireline, Town & Country, Esse, Stovax, Westfire etc. One of their favourites is PureVision - a range of fabulous stoves which already meet the 2022 CleanAir Directives - which cannot be said for a great many stoves being sold every day to homeowners.
Green Man Stoves provide an end to end service from knocking out and reinstating your fireplace to lining the chimney and installing your stove – this means you are only dealing with one company with any issues relating to any of these elements – this has to make sense.
Green Man Stoves do this every day
Introducing a stove into your home involves placing an appliance and chimney lining in the centre of your home which reach temperatures of up to 400°C. There are some 30000 UK chimney fires per annum, 40 fatalities and 4000 people annually receiving hospital treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning. They know their installations are correct, sound and safe. Sadly about 30% of their work comes from correcting unsafe, incorrect and DIY installations and dealing with the frightening aftermath of chimney fires.
Green Man Stoves are fully insured, only use their own trained, specialist staff and are HETAS registered
This is important, as HETAS is the ONLY competent persons scheme specialising in solid fuels. Green Man Stoves' HETAS registered installers are trained and registered to work on solid fuel and wood heating systems and are insured to work in your home. Their certification confirms your installation meets all relevant building regulations, ensures, as legally required, your installation is registered with your local Building Authority and provides your home insurance company with all assurances needed. Green Man Stoves only use their own trained, specialist staff – they don’t use sub contractors. They rely upon and trust their staff in your home completely.
Green Man Stoves use the best materials
They refuse to use cheap sub standard materials. Ask other companies (and them) what brand names are used. Check with HETAS that these meet the standards for solid fuel installation.
