Well, we have run a few campaigns here on the bestof over the past couple of years but the "Love Campaign" leading up to valentines day was our best yet! Over 30,000 businesses took part nationally and we had our fair share of success here in the Forest of Dean.
4 local businesses in particular really took the bull by the horns and did exceptionally well and I would love to tell you about them
Ok, get this one.....The Miners Arms, Whitecroft is now officially the most loved business in the Forest of Dean with a whopping 266 reviews from their customers. Mario, Karen and the team at the Miners worked really hard during the campaign to ensure their top spot in the Forest. In addition this, they also came in as the 3rd most loved Public house in THE UK.....and, out of the 30,000 businesses who took part nationally, the Miners achieved 11th place. Quite remarkable don't you think.
The 2nd placed business in the Forest of Dean was Mitcheldean Soap. Now this was also a remarkable achievment too as Sarah Gates and her team are a relatively new business. They also came top nationally under "Arts and Crafts" and even made it into the top 100 businesses nationally, coming in at number 75 with a massive 106 reviews
3rd place in the Forest went to Scrumptious Cakes from Bream. who also came 3rd in the most loved cake makers in the UK with a huge review score of 72. So its also a great big well done to Gail and Alan.
Designer Signs from Cinderford took 4th place in the Forest of Dean and was the top or "most loved" Sign makers in the UK, scoring a huge 50 reviews. Again a fantastic achievment from Carol and John.
