I think we can all understand the challenges that all our local small businesses face, day in, day out and the support they deserve is in no doubt. For each such business there is almost always at least one family whose future is dependent upon its success or failure.
As self employed people we here at the Best Of understand how hard these people work and how much they care about the service they provide to their local customers and clients. Quite frankly in many ways they represent what’s best about this country.
So our Buy Local Campaign that will run until the 29th June, is designed to highlight this very important issue and the importance of these businesses in our lives and the very important role they play on our local economy. Their future success is so important to us all.
This is about our great local Retailers, Trades People and Professionals alike. Many of these have already signed up to our campaign. So what we are asking you, as a local person do, is to continue or start to support as many of our local business that you reasonably can, after all the quality of service that you are likely to receive is much better than is often the case elsewhere.
This support of course needs to be maintained long after our campaign has passed. But we are asking that you go that bit further and actually declare that you will embrace this issue.
You can do this by going to www.thebestof.co.uk/forestofdean where you can pledge your support on the home page or indeed if you are handed a Buy Local Post Card by a local business, please complete and return this. It’s that simple and either way you will be entered into our draw with the chance of winning one of a number of prizes on offer, but most importantly by genuinely embracing this issue you will be helping to ensure that your £s stay in the Forest of Dean and securing the future of our great local businesses and the local economy in general.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
