Some have wondered about the shell featured on The Grantham Preparatory Schools coat of arms. Well I can tell you it is a nautilius; an outstanding living creature that, while existing today, can also be found in fossil remains from the time of dinosaurs.
The characteristics of the nautilius have strong parallels with IES's fundamental values. It's ability to to adapt to changing environments throughout millions of years represents tradition, and the unlimited potential for acquiring knowledge is demonstrated in the nautilius's evolution of additional chambers.
I applaud Wesley and Shelly's message of energy and enlightenment!
