Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens in Spalding, Lincolnshire, is delighted to announce that Nike, the world’s leading sports brand, is taking a 8,000 sq ft unit for a Nike Factory Superstore.
Nike is the world’s leading supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment. They sponsor the worlds leading sports personalities like 2010 Wimbledon champion Rafeal Nadal and Tiger Woods.
The new unit, set to open in autumn 2010, represents a major coup for Springfields, underlining its position as the region’s premier retail and leisure destination. Shop fitting is now set to begin ahead of the opening.
The store will stock authentic Nike products including footwear, clothing, and accessories for men, women and children. As at other stores at Springfields, shoppers will benefit from very significant savings on RRPs.
Ian Sanderson, Springfields Centre Director, said: “Springfields is delighted to have secured Nike as a major tenant, especially given the substantial size of the unit. The Nike Factory Store further underlines our ambition to continue to provide visitors with a first class shopping experience.
“Demand for space is high at Springfields, and adding names such as Nike to our already impressive roster of big name brands helps us to continue to enhance the shopping experience for visitors and maintain Springfields as a must-visit shopping and leisure destination.
“This is very positive news for both Springfields and the local area. Given the current economic climate in the UK, it is a feather in our cap that we are able to attract one of the biggest international brands and continue our success story. This year has already seen US brand Skechers and London’s T M Lewin join our growing list of international brands.”
