A very exciting opportunity has arisen for Skillington Kitchen Gallery to sponsor and support potential 2012 Olympic event rider Phoebe Buckley.  Phoebe 25 years old is originally from Willingham, Cambridgeshire.

Jo at Skillington Kitchen Gallery says,

“We first met Phoebe in 2007 when her yard was based in Skillington.  I worked alongside her for a season 2008 – 2009.  Phoebe is a very dedicated, natural, happy and a strong individual with success at the forefront of her mind. She is a breath of fresh air to have around and it always positive” Phoebe’s moto is ‘SIT UPAND KEEP KICKING.’It made us realise we wanted to partner someone with this attitude”

Phoebe competes at all levels however is idolised by many people for her bravery and partnership with the 14.3hh grey mare Little Tiger owned by Polly Taylor.  Little Tiger is the smallest pony in her time to complete four Badminton and Burghley runs, soon to be a 5th timer this year with the same pony.  Phoebe is from a very grounded background, where her parents have no facility of bank rolling her.  She does everything herself from mucking out stables to crossing the finish line.  Phoebe will be competing against the best in the world at Badminton 2010 with competitors such as Zara Phillips, William Fox-Pitt and Oliver Townsend.  See press articles attached and her website www.phoebebuckleyeventing.com for the galloping Through The Class Barrier / Princess V’s The Pauper articles.

“Phoebe is always an underdog in the big competitions, however always pulls a good result out of the bag. We hope everyone that can will support Phoebe Buckley and Little Tiger even if it’s watching on the event on TV Sunday and Monday. “Phoebe has a lot of character and determination, we thought long and hard about who we wanted to sponsor and support, however Skillington Kitchen Gallery believe that Phoebe and her team have the same ethics which makes for a long and successful partnership” says Jo.

Phoebe is hoping to claim a ticket to the 2012 Olympics with her up and coming horse Hillocks black Jack owned by Val Gingell.  Phoebe has a gold medal under her belt with the now retired “The Busker” in the under 25 championships at Bramham CCI***.
