This year, for the first time ever the Professional Beauty Awards event will be held in London’s glitzy Park Lane Hilton on March 8.
A total of six new categories have been added to the Professional Beauty Awards 2010 with additional awards for spas and salons and the industry professionals that work in them.
Also added is a Boutique Spa of the Year category. This is for those days or residential spas that have day packages and The Grange Spa at Pointon near Grantham has been nominated. This is a huge coup for Lincolnshire and I am so pleased for Matt and Emma.
“These are definitely the Awards everyone is talking about,” says Jenni Middleton, editor of Professional Beauty magazine, which organises the event. “Our panel of spa and salon judges, mystery shopping programme and extensive visits and interviews carried out by the editorial team ensure that we get only the most deserving winners. No other awards are as thorough in their judging process.”
“Recognising great talent in salons and spas and showing the industry what excellence looks like is the job of Professional Beauty,” says Middleton. “We consulted with a number of suppliers who felt they wanted the focus of the event to be on the salons, spas and therapists, and we’ve responded to that. After all, anything that raises standards in the way our industry is perceived by the consumer will benefit all of the supply chain.”

Good luck to The Grange Spa - this is a beautiful spa and wonderful retreat and deserves to win.
