Guernsey Surgical was established by Miss Rebecca Fallaize, a consultant colorectal and general surgeon, to offer an alternative surgical provision to Islanders. As well as offering support and advise for bowel related issues such as constipation, diarrhoea and incontinence. Rebecca also offers private minor surgery at Guernsey Surgical for skin, anal and rectal conditions. This is an innovative service as these procedures are usually offered under general anaesthetic in a hospital setting with the potential for long waiting times. Treatment at Guernsey Surgical avoids all of these issues.
Locally educated, Rebecca lives in Guernsey with her family. She continues to work as a consultant surgeon at Jersey General Hospital, undertaking emergency and elective care including laparoscopic (keyhole) bowel and gallbladder surgery, emergency abdominal surgery and elective and emergency hernia surgery. She is involved in the education of medical students and junior doctors in training and improving patient pathways to ensure the highest standards of care.
Rebecca is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, and the National Pelvic Floor Society.

Or by writing to Rebecca's personal assistant by email at:
You may be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to your appointment. If so, please complete this as fully as you can and bring it with you on the day.
Your first appointment will consist of a standard medical examination. It may also be necessary to examine the rectum (back passage) with a short camera (sigmoidoscope), if your issue is there, especially if there are sources of bleeding that Rebecca will need to assess. If you are self-funding your appointment then please be aware that a secondary fee will be incurred by this camera procedure.
All recommended procedures are undertaken at a planned procedural appointment once you have had time to consider all treatment options. A further follow up appointment is then needed to assess response to treatment. In certain situations, this can be requested as a telephone appointment if you wish.
Our current fee scales are shown at the bottom of this webpage: https://qrmp.gg/guernsey-surgical/
If you are claiming through your medical insurance provider then please check with them that you are covered for the relevant treatment. Rebecca is registered with all major healthcare insurers but self funding is accepted.
