Swan Joinery was founded over 25 years ago and has been serving Guernsey with high quality joinery solutions from their fully equipped workshop on Landes du Marché in the Vale. With a team of 9 employees with a combined 120 years of joinery experience, Swan Joinery can handle all sizes of project, large or small.

Swan Joinery can handle entire projects from start to finish, beginning with the initial meeting to discuss your needs and suggest various solutions, to designing the fittings, to manufacturing and finishing the component joinery pieces, then final installation at the client's property. Every installation is bespoke to fit the needs of the client, whether cutting a single piece of wood to entire shop refits and new builds such as conservatories.

Materials

Swan Joinery manufacture all of their products locally using the best quality wood that is responsibly and environmentally sourced, durable and yet beautiful to look at. Swan Joinery can work with any wood you specify, hardwoods or softwoods, including European Oak, Ash, Iroko, Beech and Cedar.

Swan Joinery also specialise in using Accoya, a sustainable softwood grown in New Zealand and then specially treated in The Netherlands to make it highly resistant to rot and the elements, and outperform any hardwood: Accoya is guaranteed for up to 50 years above ground (or 25 years below ground or in freshwater).

Swan Joinery make use of Sikkens stains, Osmo oils, and also factory-applied Teknos finishes which utilise three spray coats to provide a breathable and yet durable finish, which can be colour-matched to any element in your property.

Windows

Swan Joinery can provide beautiful bespoke wooden-framed windows to fit any project or space that you require glazed. This includes bay windows, arched windows, casement windows and sliding sash windows, including replacement or repair of old style windows on listed buildings. The client can specify the degree of thermal efficiency required.

Doors

Swan Joinery can also create interior or exterior doors to fit a client's exacting requirements, whether glazed, frosted or a solid un-glazed door. This includes bi-fold doors, french windows and patio doors, doors for commercial properties (including shop fronts), and recreating older style doors with beading and mouldings for specific property renovations to match existing features. Doors can be constructed for differing thermal efficiency and sound-proofing needs. Swan Joinery are also able to source a wide range of ironmongery door accessories to suit all tastes.

Staircases

Swan Joinery specialises in building bespoke staircases that will be both functional and a beautiful centrepiece in your property. Whether you want a traditional staircase with wooden balusters and handrail, or a contemporary "floating" stair, or even a spiral staircase to save space, Swan Joinery are up to the task. Their staircases can also be fitted with LED and safety lighting to the client's preference.

Storage

If you need more storage then Swan Joinery can design and build a bespoke storage solution of shelving and/or cupboards to fit any space and requirement you have, using a variety of materials and finishes to fit with any decor.

Conservatories

Swan Joinery are happy to take on new builds including building entire conservatories or orangeries so that you can take best advantage of Guernsey's beautiful summer weather.

Gardens

Swan Joinery can provide a lot of fittings and installations for gardens including bespoke gates and fencing, decking and garden walkways, pergolas and custom trellises, and similar projects.
