Last week we hosted an awards evening at La Reunion for the Guernsey Business of the Year Awards to celebrate all of the local winners from among thebestof Guernsey business members, and the evening was a great success enjoyed by all who attended.
As we detailed in a previous blog there were nine local award winners who topped their category: Specsavers Opticians Market Square, Sarnia Mutual, Trim Dog Pet Centre, A 'Dora' Bubble Photography, Aey's Relaxing Massage, Home James Car Return Service, Firstcall, Lotus Pools and Sunshine Nursery & Preschool.
The Business of the Year Awards evening was held on Friday 8th March 2019 and La Reunion did us proud as our venue. They were also celebrating as they won the overall award for being Guernsey Business of the Year 2019.
There were approximately 70 attendees at the awards evening, watching the awards and certificates get handed out to the winners. Bonboniera kindly provided the balloons to decorate the venue, and DJ's Party On provided the entertainment.
We raised £454 for local charity Bulstrode House for cancer relief here on Guernsey with our raffle on the night. First prize in the raffle, a pair of London Gatwick return flights with Aurigny, was won by Lisa Cruywagen.
Among the other raffle prize winners Diane de Garis won £80 Indian Cottage voucher kindly donated by Sarnia Mutual, Silvi Magloire won a Sony Extra Bass Wireless Black Speaker from Guernsey Electricity, Sarah Burchett won a three course lunch or early dinner for two including a glass of Prosecco at La Reunion, Sam Sparkes won a family location shoot plus 10 digital images with A'Dora'Bubble Photography, Tom Glendinning won a £35 Trim Dog Pet Centre voucher, Neil Griffiths won £100 Amazon voucher kindly donated by Aey's Relaxing Massage, Shaun Harrison won a golden drinks hamper from de garis accounting, Jenny & Max Gaudion won a £20 Home James voucher and Mark Barnett won a beautiful bouquet from The New Rose Bowl.
