Guernsey is lucky to have some great local produce markets which run regularly throughout the year, including St Peter's country market on a Wednesday morning, the Castel Farmers Market every other Saturday morning at Fairfield and the regular Farmers Market at Sausmarez Manor every Saturday from 9am.
With the idea of buying and keeping it local so crucial to our environment (and quality of food) these days we should all make an effort to support these local markets and buy fresh Guernsey vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, preserves and all sorts of other wonderful hand-made products.
Who needs tomatoes from Timbuktu when you can get them from the Tostevins eh?
