We have recently reshaped the whole structure of Guernsey Chamber and moved premises into the heart of Town, with event space, to enable our members to benefit directly from their connection with us. The Business Development Centre in the Markets Inner Street has an open-door policy for business advice, together with a welcoming atmosphere, free coffee and great wifi for anyone who simply wants to use our facilities while they are in St Peter Port.
Chamber’s Board consists of a six-strong Executive comprising Barrie Baxter, President, Kay Leslie, Director, HanaPlsek, Vice President, Rupert Dorey, Council Representative, Graham Rabey, Finance Director and MartynDorey, Past President.
We also have a network of Steering Groups which uses the expertise of Chamber’s Council members and invited participants to provide insight, data-based research and lobbying on topics most relevant for our membership. Current focus includes the provision of competitively-priced air and sea links, the removal of red tape for business and population control. A programme of support for retail and hospitality in Town is also underway.
Our team is also working closely with European economic groups to enable business opportunities in other jurisdictions and has links with the British Chamber of Commerce.
Guernsey Chamber recognises the importance of enterprise and emerging business, as well as providing support for existing ones. We are particularly proud of the mentorship programme launched this autumn to help young creatives to develop their business ideas.
Annual membership, which is available from as little as £59 for an individual or third sector organisation, enables attendance at Chamber business events, advice seminars and gatherings designed to help your business to further develop. Please speak to us on 727483 or email office@guernseychamber.com for full details. Membership benefits also include substantial discounts on advertising with Guernsey Press-linked publications and our own Contact magazine. You will receive a free listing in the directory of this coffee table publication.
