We can highly recommend St. Pierre Park Hotel, Guernsey. Having just returned from a 7nights stay we have the following to report. Reception - friendly and informative, they were able to find information for me off the web in connection with Renoir that the Tourist Board in St. Peter's Port were unable to give me. Everyone that worked at the hotel had a happy disposition which helps to give a relaxed, holiday feel to the place. The room service was faultless - always fresh linen and towels, and clean face flannels everyday. Fresh flowers in the bedrooms ,and in abundace in the various restaraunts and around the hotel. We enjoyed all the meals (breakfast and evening dinner on the 7 days - they were well served ,with the most attentive waitress service. Their was a variety of menu with the food being very fresh, imaginatively cooked and presented and with care. We availed ourselves of the swimming facilities with warm, clean towels and robes provided on every occasion. We also used the jacuzzi and relaxation room after a swim, which had drinks and daily/national papers and glossy mags to add to the experience. We didn't have time to use the gym, as, we were out every day exploring the island - but it looked very inviting. Unfortunately I also didn't have time to use any of the treatments that were available - but if I have the opportunity to visit again, I will deffinitely build in some spare time to endulge, as three other guests mentioned how much they had enjoyed them.It has probably been the best value for money holiday that we have had in the 38 years that we have been married.

We have just returned from a four day Christmas break at St Pierre Park. The age range of our party was from teenagers to octogenarians. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The food was varied, imaginative and beautifuly presented. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and welcoming. The Leisure Centre and pool were clean and well organised. I have no hesitiation in recommending this hotel for a family holiday.

I'd never been to Guernsey before so no expectations at all here. Was impressed on arrival at the hotel, rooms clean and tidy , not a fan of the bathroom colour scheme but that's a moot point really.

Breakfast was standard english buffet breakfast with a decent spread of good quality. I will mention the fact that I ended up with an upset stomach during the middle of my stay, however I will not put this down to any of the food served at the hotel as I ate at other restaurants in the town.

The one evening meal I ate at the hotel was for a party held for the sporting event I was attending - The starters and main courses were fairly average but the desserts were fantastic; the restaurant staff were all friendly and helpful and one waiter was particularly funny whenever he visited our table. On the whole, the party catering was very good.

The pool area was clean, didn't make use of the rest of the spa but did find a moment to hit the driving range - £2 for a bucket of 40 balls seemed reasonable to me.

In terms of value for money, I paid a discounted price for a room negotiated specifically for the sporting event I was taking part in and hence I feel that the hotel offered very good value for the price I paid.

All in all, an enjoyable stay and I hope to return for Easter next year.

Unusually for me I booked this via a newspaper offer. Have stayed in Guernsey many times in various hotels - all of them very average with the exception of The Clubhouse.
The St Pierre Park certainly exceeded my expectations. It is in a wonderful setting and with a fair wind and flat shoes within walking distance of St Peter Port. The hotel decor is dated but the friendly, relaxed atmosphere soons makes up for this. Check in was very smooth and we were shown to our inter-connecting rooms (2 children with us) both of which were of a good size and very clean (the rooms not the children). Agree that the advocado bathrooms have had their day and the rooms are tierd but comfortable non the less. Breakfast was the buffet kind although room service was available and the food was average hotel fayre with a decent choice. We ate diner in the Cafe Renoir retaurant on one evening and it was very good. The pool and spa facilities were clean and well organised. The thing that really makes this hotel is it's staff and service you often read that "nothing is too much trouble for our guests" when you know really it is but this was genuinely the case here we were made to feel very welcome and valued and the children were always acknowledged. We had a lovely, relaxing few family days on the lovely island of Guernsey.

We stayed at St Pierre Park in Guernsey for 4 nights at the beginning of April. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The restaurant's were immaculate and a pleasure to dine in, the menu's were extensive. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. The room was spotless and there was a clean supply of towels and bed linen every day. The grounds were beautiful and a walk round the lake is a must. We had a room which had a patio door on to a terrace overlooking the children's play area, Sun chairs were also provided. We would recommend this Hotel and certainly have no hesitation in staying there again.

stayed here for two nights , as previous posts the Hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the town , The Hotel setting is really nice and has the Golf course in its ground if you fancy 9 holes .

The breakfast and all meals where excellent and portions are very good .

You can catch the Bus into town the stop is right outside the front entrance £1.00 for any journey which is great value , The hotel has Bus time tables in the Lobby

My only gripe was the Hot water yes it is hot but the pressure is very low and the flow is really slow , This seems to apply to any time of day

Will be staying here again

Nice hotel and grounds a pity our request to stay in a room facing the pond was not kept. Room was nice though and sitting on the balcony was fun people watching. Breakfast was excellent but dinner was a hit or miss. Staff seemed inexperienced but mostly friendly. What would have made the stay better would be more attention to dealing with small complaints and believing the customer is always right!

We stayed here as a family for my husbands birthday for 2 nights. Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant on both nights good food and service. Excellent breakfast buffet variety. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the grounds with our little one. The room was comfortable and had views of the pond / garden which was lovely. Thank you St Pierre Park. Mary

The positive points: Great service, really lovely and modern spa, good-sized clean pool (18 meters long), and a lovely ambience. Unfortunately, a few things about the hotel itself need a vast amount of improvement. I stayed here during the hottest days of the year and let me tell you, the experience wasn't pleasant. The hotel had run out of electric fans to provide guests with so I was stuck with sleeping with my balcony door wide open. It was stiflingly hot in my room! When they finally provided me with a fan, it was the size of a dessert plate and blew hot air. Pretty disappointing.

The room itself was a good size, although small things like having an alarm clock in the room and bedside electronic outlets would have been beneficial.

I also ate at the Victor Hugo and considering the amount of money I paid for dinner, it wasn't satisfactory at all. My scallop starter was bland and overcooked. My chorizo and mussel main dish lacked flavour. Breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious and there were plenty of choices.

Although I wouldn't rule out staying here again, I guess it won't be my first choice next time. I'm sure with the ongoing improvements/ renovations going on, I am positive there will be pleasant changes in the near future.
