It was a lovely stay for my Bachelor course field trip. Great rest before going to Sark.

It was my birthday and my daughter reserved a table for 8 of us plus our nine month old granddaughter for lunch and it was a glorious sunny day so we ate outside. We had a wonderful greeting from Jenny and found all the staff to be very pleasant and efficient and nothing was too much trouble including the happy birthday rendition complete with the birthday cake that we had brought along with us. The food was was well presented and I especially enjoyed the plaice. I am returning there again next week and I’m sure that won’t be the last time.

This is run by the same folk who run The Kiln and as it has just opened I thought we should give it a try. I took my friend and we had Moules frite - served on the most beautiful plates. Presentation was lovely and service very good. Oh and the Moules were just delicious too! Lovely venue near the Marina with an outside deck for sunny days.

Visited here with my sister for the first time. We both ordered the chicken caesar salad which was fabulous with really moist chicken breast, lovely big crispy croutons and bacon pieces. Bread basket was lovely also with flavoured butters to accompany. Sat outside and enjoyed the views. Can't wait to return. Well done.

I've noted a couple of reviews concerning the unusual layout of the spa area - especially the location of changing rooms at this hotel. The reason the locker rooms are away from the pool/wet area is that they are also used by people using the Beauty Salon who need to change for treatments such as massage or sun showers. These people & I include myself here do not want to tread through wet floors. Thus the shower area (15-30 seconds walk from the locker room) is used to dry off & don a robe for the return to the locker & your belongings.
This spa is however not without fault & there are many. In recent months I have arrived to find the girls on reception sprawled on the floor painting their toe/finger nails, I have also seen them having mint throwing fights, chatting away in the back room on their mobiles & ignoring clients who are left to help themselves to towel/robes & find their own way around the facility. Cleanliness is a big issue here, or rather the lack of it. The pool frequently has a thick black scum line around it - the last time I complained about it I was told that the cleaner was on holiday!! The sauna, steam & shower areas are only ever cleaned with water, NEVER are these areas disinfected, I dread to think what lies within the 1000's of cracks that pervade the gents steam room ( I can't speak about the ladies area) -these cracks have been present for the last 15 or so years & must contain a veritable farmyard od bacteria. The jacuzzi is often under temperature & the tiles & filter in this are also frequently filthy, the tiles are seldom scrubbed as the black mould on the grout shows.

Toilets in the male area are difficult & sometimes impossible to flush, due to slow filling tanks & often when using them one is presented with the previous users deposit.

The facility lacks a Manager & has done for six months or so now. I believe a beautician is overseeing the running of the facility, but she obviously has no training in the running of a Health Suite.

It's interesting to note that St. Pierre Park NEVER respond to any comments on this site. This to me shows how interested they are in the opinion of their customers/guests. The management here are lazy & have been in their jobs too long, new blood is needed to buck up the staff & introduce new ideas into a now very stale establishment.

Very sad.

We stayed at the St. Pierre Park Hotel for 3 nights as part of a visit to the Channel Islands in June 2014.

The hotel is located about 25-30 minutes walk from the centre of St Peter Port and has the advantage of being located in beautiful grounds, with a feature lake with fountains and - my favourite - a floating duck house! There is ample car parking and a taxi into the town centre in the evening would be relatively inexpensive if the walk sounds off-putting.

Check-in was efficient and friendly and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the garden, which was nice. The room itself was very clean and spacious, with a good powerful shower and a large, comfortable bed. Tea & coffee facilities included a Nespresso machine.

Breakfast was a buffet affair and the quality was good, with plenty of choice. On one of the mornings they seemed a little over-run but generally things ran as expected. We didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that, I'm afraid.

This proved a good hotel for our stay over a weekend, although I imagine it becomes a little more business-oriented during the week.

I have stayed this hotel many times for work. Many of the rooms have interconnecting doors which means you can hear everything the person in the next room is saying and doing!
Prices for food are expensive.
Grounds are relaxing

Lovely grounds, but no view at all from our room other than ugly flat roof. Functions both nights took over bars, leaving residents feeling a little like intruders on their own turf. Rooms meticulously cleaned, but initially only one bath and hand towel provided for 2, and pillows thin. Pool and spa area very well cared for. Location is quite a hike from town, so cabs or car hire needed, contributing to the feeling of excessive traffic on this beautiful island. Breakfast average - poached eggs available but not a success for chef on duty. Bar menu offered a good selection, well prepared, but service not always the standard expected in a quality hotel - grudging. The foundations of a lovely hotel, but with scope to improve environment, service consistency and give residents a better experience.
