We took advantage of a Tuesday 2 for 1 steak night offer. The Doghouse is a pub and they had large screens on the walls showing football matches -- it is not a romantic restaurant! But the steak was good and they sell Liberation Ale, brewed on the Channel Islands which washed it down nicely.

Our trips to the Doghouse are always great. The food is immense, the staff are friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the general atmosphere is great! We particularly enjoy Saturday afternoons when the football is on TVs - it's a warm and friendly place to be.
Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

We passed this pub on ourcway to St Peter Port & thought we would try it one evening. The food was quite nice. My steak was tender and juicy and my husband's meal was tasty. However once the food came we were on our own. No one came near us. We never did get the chance to order dessert or any more drinks and had to wait ages to pay the bill. It's worth a visit, just don't expect too much in the way of service

An ordinary looking building by the harbour. Bags of character with good service. Good range of food well worth a visit.

Some friends and I recently stayed at the St Pierre Park Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was comfortable, The position of the hotel gives you the opportunity to reach all of the Island. If want to rest there is plenty to keep you busy.
Some of the bar staff had only just started and would benefit from a little more bar training but were friendly. The bar food was limited in choice but good quality. The acception was the 19th Hole restraunt where we did experience a very disappointed fish and chips.
Overall the stay was very good. I would have written more but could not access Write a bit more

A good quality Hotel good size room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast with a good choice laid out in a buffet style.
My only criticism is with the evening although delicious and well presented was mean on portion size and the menu did not have a great choice, it would have helped if it was changed daily.

A wonderful clean and friendly hotel on an island with beaches and views to rival anywhere in the world. Although the bus services was said to be one way of getting around the island we decided to hire a small car to enable us to visit all parts of this beautiful island. With a speed limit of 35mph, very narrow roads, few road signs and an unusual filter system at junctions and roundabout, driving was certainly a stressing option.

My wife and I have just returned from a week's stay here. Overall we found all hotel staff friendly and helpful. Our room was a decent size with a handy fridge available and a free to use safe. Bus stop outside was handy for travelling around the island. Only downsides were the lack of air conditioning in room and patio sliding door to balcony which we couldn't open at night as the balconies were not private and overlooked. Food prices were quite expensive and we were charged £3.80 for a pint of soda and lime.

My wife and myself are nearing the end of a 4 night visit at the St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort (part of the Hand Picked Hotels Group which now has 20 properties - including 3 Channel Island one’s) which is a 30 minute walk from St David Port or one can take the 41 or 42 Bus which stops outside the Hotel (all fares are £1).

The property was opened in May 1983 and - as I learnt from a lovely Remembrance Bench on the Island in the pond behind the Hotel - had the same GM (Dina Le Lacheur from 1985-2017). It is set in lovely and extensive grounds with a large Children’s Play Area, 3 Tennis Courts and a 9 Hole Par 3 Golf Course which my wife and myself played twice as part of our promotional Hotel package - something I would encourage others to consider. Although we didn’t make use of either the Gym or Spa, the latter was often fully booked.

All the staff are most pleasant and well turned out but none more so than Ioanna on the Front Desk who was particularly helpful throughout our stay. The Management also kindly arranged a late change of dates for our stay and - as it turned out - we were very happy with our room (#438 The Jersey Suite) which was comfortable, spacious and had sunshine streaming in for most of the day. It also overlooked the pond - my only recommendation would be the provision of larger wall TV as well as wider selection of TV Channels (including Sky).

Our stay was on a half-board basis with Breakfast served from 0730 hours (0800 hours at weekends) in La Fontaine Restaurant. It is buffet style with a number of supplementary dishes available on order. Dinner is served in The Pavillion with a good 3 course menu but one which is set on a seasonal basis (even so, some dishes were permanently unavailable throughout our stay) and this can prove challenging to guests staying longer than a few day!

We also had lunch on one occasion in Terrace Bar Cafe (which has an extensive menu) and found both the Soup of the Day (Ministrone) and the Cobb Salad most enjoyable. In addition, the service at all 3 F & B outlets was very good reflecting the general high standard of staff throughout the Hotel.

It should, therefore, come as no surprise that the property was operating at near full capacity throughout our stay. That said, it is now nearly 35 years old and, hopefully, an extensive refurbishment Programme will get underway in the not too distant future as on close examination the property is beginning to show its age and this will only become an increasing problem over time.
