Recent 7 night half board stay - fabulous hotel in every way. Great leafy location with short 10 min walk to town centre. (Is on steep hill but taxi available via reception in needed). Gorgeous sunny view of harbour and Candie Gardens from our very clean and comfortable room. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to deliver excellent customer services. Most meals very good, apart from a couple of meals where (beef) meat a little tough for our taste. Enjoyed lovely breakfasts - and on some days on the pretty terrace outside. Pool and terrace garden very well maintained, and these could also be seen from our lovely room. Quiet at night, and great sleep as room air conditioned. Pretty fresh red carnation in bathroom. Cannot wait to return to this lovely hotel, and long to have Bea Tollmans lovely chicken noodle soup again as so delicious. Thank you for our lovely stay it made for a perfect holiday.

This Hotel is certainly worth checking out! Wonderful service, friendly staff and the food is excellent. I could not fault our stay at the St. Pierre, a short walk into the centre but the local buses are frequent and cost £1 only! The new spa complex due to open soon looks amazing. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and lacks for nothing when it comes to comfort. There is a nine hole golf course too.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel rooms were excellent and we all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in. Cleanliness was top notch and we could not fault the cleaning services. Yes there was a fire alarm in the early hours which resulted in a disturbed first night but we decided to see the funny side rather than let it ruin our weekend, after all there are worse things that could happen. The new swimming pool was open and we really enjoyed this facility, the changing rooms were fantastic with wonderful showers and the pool was great especially as we had it all to ourselves!
Food was good, my husband and I ate in the Victor Hugo restaurant on our second night and although the the restaurant could do with an update decor wise ( it is VERY 80's!!) the food and service was excellent.
We also had a meal in the bar on our first night which was very good and again the service was first class. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice on offer. Reception was a little hit and miss we were often dealing with a young man who did not have a great deal of understanding of the English language and seemed not to know what he was doing a lot of the time but again we did not get too agitated about it.
We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to others wishing to visit the beautiful island of Guernsey.

It's a long walk into St Peter port, but my favorite hotel so far on Guernsey. Breakfast is included in the price and is very good. 4 stars as the pool was open 10am to 7pm, could do with being open earlier and later.

A lovely hotel in well kept grounds, the pool was very relaxing with sun loungers and the spa which is just being renovated will be fantastic when it is completed. Spa and pool staff very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are very clean with a balcony or terrace to sit out. Plenty of choice of drinks in the room. Breakfasts were delicious with an excellent choice and very attentive staff. Definitely a place to stay, would recommend to friends and family.

First impressions on entering hotel were good. Spacious reception area and friendly desk and concierge staff. Hotel policy prefers credit cards so if you have a visa debit card then you will need to pay up front for charges to the room. Bedroom was small with a tiny balcony but the bed was huge and most importantly the room and bathroom were very clean initially and maintained throughout the stay. Breakfast restaurant very good with helpful and polite staff. Good choice of food including gluten free option. Only black mark was the quality of the tea! Terrace bar staff friendly and professional. All orders taken correctly without fuss. Overpriced for the quality of the majority of the food. However the soups, mullet and cobb salad were to a high standard. Highly recommended.

At first glance I thought this was just another big hotel, the likes of which I've stayed in many times on business. Function rooms, spa, health suite, nice rooms, buffet breakfast, ability to accommodate large groups. But there's something a bit different. Certainly the hotel is well equipped and well positioned about a mile out of St Peter Port (and handily nearly opposite a large Waitrose). Tennis courts, golf course, ample free parking, tourist information, concierge. But I came to the conclusion that the difference is the staff. They all just seemed so NICE. I don't know if it's Guernsey people in general or these hotel staff in particular but they were all friendly, helpful and just genuinely seemed to want to be nice to me. Sadly I think it's unusual to meet so many staff and not have at least one or two who are a bit "off"- fed up, can't be bothered, strained politeness. Not here, they were a pleasure. I stayed for a week on holiday and would recommend paying the bit extra for a room with a garden view- these are quieter and more relaxing and have views of the lovely grounds- either of trees and tennis courts or if you're lucky, the very lovely ornamental lake and fountain. These also get the afternoon and evening sun which can be enjoyed from your balcony/patio. Non garden view rooms overlook the entrance/car park/ main road and are in shade in the afternoon, although they also have balconies. The rooms don't have air conditioning and can be a bit warm at night in hot weather although the French windows open wide. The huge bed was very comfy with lovely soft bedding. The breakfast buffet is absolutely first class. I didn't eat at the hotel for other meals as I was always out. If you don't have a car be aware that although St Peter Port is only about a mile away, it's quite a drag uphill on the way back so you'd need a reasonable level of fitness to walk back. It's on a bus route though and taxis are available although at £7.20 I thought this an expensive option for the distance. I didn't use the newly refurbished health suite although it looks very swish, but I did have an Elemis spa treatment- a very competent and therapeutic back massage. So, in a nutshell, I'd recommend the St Pierre Park, it has lots to offer and I'm glad I stayed.

Have been visiting this hotel for over the past 20 years. And on my last visit I noticed it was looking a little tired.

We thing have really improved, the hotel has come under the ownership of the Hand Picked group and they have returned this hotel to its former glory.

While I was staying the pool, gym, and spa were all being renovated. My room was of the best standard and other public areas were all looking very smart.

All the staff were very pleasant and very accommodating.

I will be returning later this year.

Overall the stay was good and the staff were friendly and the service was good. Meals were reasonably priced and proportioned with the exception of the chicken curry and rice - rice portion was 2 tablespoons at best! I stayed on B&B basis and was impressed that in addition to English breakfast, continental breakfast, you could also choose from other dishes such as eggs benedict, smoked kippers, poached eggs etc at no additional cost. Additionally, one of the waiters was particularly thoughtful enough to seat us close to the buffet as he noted my mother is partially sighted and my daughter is a toddler. Only downside was the lack of communication regarding access to the pool that had been renovated. Extremely annoying when you have prepared a 3 year old for a morning swim only to see the closed sign or the second time that access times for children has changed. After complaining on the second occasion that they haven't notified guests of the new access times we were allowed in for a courtesy 30 minutes - but bearing in mind no-one had visited the pool before or during our swim we could have stayed longer! Nevertheless we would definitely stay again as hotel set in beautiful grounds, has small children's play area and large green spaces so very family friendly. However, you need access to a car as not close to centre/harbour.
