Stopped here as part of a golfing club weekend out. Great little 9 hole course. More of a pitch and putt but great fun and quite challenging. Had a big Sunday lunch spread laid on for us and all the boys.
Was feeling a little fragile as the night before was a little heavy. This meal was just the ticket, really tasty and plenty of it. Really top notch. A great hotel and breakfast was also included. Will certainly recommend it to not only my golf buddies but friends and family too. Great weekend.

A bit of a blast from the past. Let’s say the clientele is of the “ older generation “. Rooms clean and functional but dated with no air con etc. The restaurant for breakfast is good with pleasant table service for tea coffee and toast. A great gym , spa and pool downstairs which really makes the difference. Overall I’d stay again

The perfect place to stay for our first Christmas away. The service was great, they couldn’t do enough for us. The food was lovely and a massive selection. Lots of little, lovely surprises. The Spa was ideal, outside jacuzzi and windowed sauna. It was bliss and just what you need after a long year if you want to be pampered and not leave the hotel for days. The clientele are older and particular, which the staff handled really well. All the staff were joyful and Mathilde made us laugh a lot. Merry Christmas to you all.

I have been using this hotel & restaurant for a good 10 years or more now. A lovely relaxing environment after a days work. The restaurants evening meals & breakfasts are excellent, well recommended for business or pleasure.

Stayed overnight twice in the space of a week. I had the same room on both occasions - a newly renovated "deluxe double" with a really good walk-in shower, comfortable bed, first rate air conditioning and plenty of space. The staff were great, and the food and service in both bar and restaurant were first class. I had a good massage in the spa on my second visit, too. The reason for marking down a star is because bedding and bathroom preferences from my first stay were not remembered - only four days later!

We bought the Quids In offer last year as a treat for the New Year. It was so good we did it again and enjoyed a superb relaxing overnight stay in one of the larger balcony rooms over looking the beautiful lake.
Our room 332 was light and airy, spacious and comfortable. It was well stocked with complementary still and sparkling water in the fridge Tea, coffee, biscuits and a nespresso machine were a welcome arrival. The quality bathroom toiletries, robes etc were put to good use.
After an early afternoon swim in the large pool & Spa area we enjoyed a predinner G&T in the Terrace bar.
Dinner was served in the Pavilion restaurant where we opted for the set menu comprising of fresh baked warm rolls & butter, starters of Moules a la creme and home made creamy chicken pate served on a brioche bun. The generous mains we chose were excellent, roasted cod and new potatoes, braised blade of beef served with creamy mash. For desert we shared a cheese platter, with biscuits, chutney, grapes and celery.
After a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed, we enjoyed an early morning cuppa on the balcony followed by a swim in the empty pool.
Breakfast in the Vistor Hugo restaurant was included and we chose from the extensive cooked menu and continental selection.
We checked out just 20 hours later but it felt much longer.
Excellent staff, great service, attention to detail and so welcoming

My Daughter's and I have just got home to Alderney after our one night stay ... Excellent spa facilities (Ellie gives a fantastic massage - highly recommend) .
The hotel was very clean and welcoming. Our rooms overlooked the tennis court and both had a balcony my only issue which wasn't the SPP fault was a smoker further down which then wafted into my room .
Large car park with plenty of space for us to park our hire car and while We were unloading the overnight bags a staff member was in the car park and he took our bags into reception - from looking at the website possibly the manager ?!! Very impressed by this kind and unexpected gesture.
We ate out in town : cocktail at Balthazar then onto Dr Nello's - delicious as always !
Enjoyed a swim and a bit tub before breakfast which was very good lots to choose from with very friendly staff.
The hotel info was missing from our rooms which was a shame as we weren't sure what time the pool opened it breakfast time was but I guess a hygiene issue during this current situation
Lots of tea, coffee and delicious shortbread in the room and free bottled water in the mini fridge . I had Wi-Fi issues and couldn't connect my kindle fire which was annoying but not a huge issue.
Would definitely stay again and for longer ! Thank you SPP.

Just back after a 3 night break at the hotel following the creation of the air bridge between our islands.
Lovely room, great pool and jacuzzi. Beautiful grounds. The staff were all fabulous- so friendly and always smiling and helpful. Great location- bus stop to town only a couple of minutes walk.
Enjoyed drinks on the terrace on a couple of evenings. Breakfast was lovely- lots of choice and all fresh. We.re looking forward to planning a return trip.

Just back from a 4 night stay travelling in from the Isle of Man.

Really nice hotel in a great central spot. Waitrose across the road with a bus stop outside so everything is really close. We walked into St Peter Port and it was no more than 20 minutes.

Hotel grounds are lovely with a big lake and water fountain that seemed to be on all day!

Lovely breakfast with so much on offer, and lunch and dinner at the Terrace were great!

The spa and swimming pool were really spot on with sauna and steam room, and a nice outdoor hot tub too.

Special mention to Nora who was excellent when in contact by email prior to our stay. So helpful with planning things for our 3 year old son. Lots of useful tips!

Couldn’t recommend enough and will hopefully return one day. Thank you!

Having stayed just before the Covid19 "lockdown", I'm delighted to post another review. This time, I was in Guernsey mainly for an evening training course, which meant that I only ate dinner on one evening. I had a superb room, with a fabolous walk-in shower, and a private balcony. A small probelm with the shower curtain was fixed promptly and efficiently (well done, Peter!) Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and so I couldn't make use of the balcony. This time, housekeeping were fantastic in arranging for "old fashioned" bedding (a lovely king sized blanket and sheets). The bed was really comfortable and I slept very well. Super-quiet air conditioning, too. Reception staff were really kind. I shall be back.
