The Best of Guildford is always very proud of the achievements of the businesses on the site. Someone who’s always making an impression and contributing to some incredible landmark projects is Rhoda Nevins. As well as running her very successful soft furnishings business, Soft Impressions, Rhoda is also a highly skilled embroiderer, designing and creating “The Celebration of Guildford” which hangs in G-Live and contributing to the embroidery on the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress.
Rhoda Nevins is now one of twelve embroiderers bringing their skills together to create a commemoration of the sealing of the Magna Carta which will celebrate its 800th anniversary in 2015. When finished, the embroidered picture will comprise ten panels, designed by Rhoda. To hear all about it, tune into Brooklands Radio’s interview with Rhoda on Wednesday, 30 November at 11.30.
