The Chobham Festival has been an annual event since 1993 and this year is taking place from this Saturday, 22 September to 5 October. Celebrating music, food, art and literature, the events include everything from jazz to Morris Dancing, Chopin to schools. Many events for this popular festival have now sold out but there are still tickets available for Chopin By Candlelight on 25 September and the Festival Concert, The Magic of Vienna, on 29 September.
The programme for the Festival Concert includes music by Mozart, Strauss, Mahler, Schubert and Haydn and pianist Lucy Parham promises to show off the variety of Chopin's genius in her candlelight performance.
You don't even need tickets for some events: The Festival Café will be open on 29 September serving not only refreshments but also music from the easy listening trio Sounds Easy while the walls will showcase art from the Chobham Art Group. Morris Dancing by the Chobham Morris Men will be taking place on the same day from 12.30.
