As a race, us brits have alarmingly low standards when it comes to food - it seems we'll eat almost anything and pay up without complaint - as a keen cook myself and the son of a hotel manager, it staggers me sometimes that a lot of pub's think that a greasy mound of fried, tasteless starch and grissle qualifies for a £12 price tag which is why I normally eat Indian or Chinese when I go out!
It's always a delight and surprise therefore to find a local restuarant cooking european food to the sort of standard I think we should demand - no-one resents paying for a meal prepared and cooked properly after all.
I have not yet sampled the MBrasserie but will be doing so very soon given that they have a very generaous 50% discount currently running on this site, to encourage local people to try them out.
I have however heard several reviews recently, all of which have been exemplerary and I am therefore eager to find out for myself.
