The second annual Woking Food Festival will take place this year from 5-7 September in Woking town centre. Highlights include over sixty stalls in the town’s pedestrianised streets, cooking demonstrations in Jubilee Square from the Tante Marie Culinary Academy, barbecue demonstrations in Gloucester Square from Broil King (learn to make Yorkshire puddings BBQ style) and even a bake off!
Over at the Lightbox and WWF Living Planet Centre, visitors can find a Fairtrade food area and Family Quarter. Kids can join in with fun cookery classes in the Education Room at the Lightbox, while hands-on activities at the Living Planet Centre help families learn about healthy, sustainable living – a great solution for people and the Earth.
There’s still time to sign up to exhibit! If you’re a caterer, restaurant or artisan baker, a butcher or an independent greengrocer, the Woking Food Festival would love to have you on board. It’s a great opportunity to reach a new audience and meet other foodies in the business. Click here to get started.
The festival starts runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm on the Friday and Saturday and from 10am-5pm on the Sunday. Woking is just ten minutes from Guildford by car or train – the train station is centrally located and there are four multi-storey car parks. For full details of all the events, please visit the Woking Food Festival website.
The Woking Food Festival will be an incredible three days for Surrey’s gourmets – see you there!
