It’s nearly Bonfire Night! I’m so excited! I love going to big firework displays with my family and friends – public displays are a lot safer than ones at home and you get bigger, better fireworks too. Here are some of the Bonfire Night celebrations going on in and around Guildford.
The big display is, of course, the Guildford Firework Fiesta in Stoke Park, on November 5th itself. At 19:45 a torchlit procession leaves Tunsgate Arch, High Street Guildford, arriving in Stoke Park at 20:30 for the Firework Display.
The event is organised by Guildford Lions. It’s free to attend but – as always - there’ll be a collection for local charities. This year the charities are the mental health charity Oakleaf and Guildford Action which supports people who are homeless or isolated.
