Paul Sutherland, David Cooke and The Antipoet will be reading their works at Bar des Arts’ next poetry evening on Tuesday, May 20 from 7.30pm.
Paul is a published poet and runs regular poetry workshops. He is a past editor of ‘Dream Catcher’, the respected literary journal. On the night he will be reading a selection of new work and old.
David has several published books including his latest, entitled ‘Work Horse’. He will be reading from this during the evening as well as new poetry.
Paul Eccentric and Ian Newman are a poetry duo also known as The Antipoet. They will be entertaining the audience with their anarchic humour and parody accompanied by Ian’s double bass rhythms and percussion.
Entry to the poetry evening is free and people are welcome to sign up to perform on the night, or just come along to listen. Performers should arrive at 7pm on the night to be sure of a reading slot.
