Southern Gas Networks are laying new gas mains in Station Road and High Street Bramley between 18th January and 4th February. A Directive from the Health and Safety Executive requires that all metallic pipes within 30m of homes and property be replaced after a family of four in South Lanarkshire all lost their lives in a gas explosion. There is going to be considerable disruption but it is with good reason.
The works will cover the area around the mini roundabout junction of the A281 Bramley High Street, B2128 Station Road and Snowdenham Lane. There will be temporary traffic signals and the work will be taking place seven days a week and for long hours in order to complete the work as early as possible. Please allow extra time for car journeys in the Bramley area.
Road works in Bramley between 18 January and 4 February 2013- expect delays.
