The beams of Guildford Cathedral will resonate to the sound of the band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines on Wednesday October 6th.
The Royal Marines Band is one of the longest established military bands and and is a spectacle to watch and hear ... As long ago as the days of Drake and Hawkins the drummer's rhythm would advertise the changing watches or beat the men to quarters- nowadays of course the band has a full repertoire of military marches and is famed for it's absolute precision.
Whether you are a military person or not, this really is a fantastic spectacle and well worth the trip up to Guildford Cathedral to enjoy. Its especially relevant as the Royal Marines are currently fighting for us all in Afghanistan at the current time - so come and support our troops and give money to a very worthy charity !
