Following last years successful event at Guildford RFC, Sport Godalming are proposing to hold a ‘Sports for all day’ at the Burysfield, Godalming town centre on 7th May 2011. We anticipate that this event will give you the opportunity to promote your club to a new audience, providing a new stream of members and supporters. This year we will be supported by the Charterhouse Club.
The event will be open to all Sports and Leisure Clubs in Godalming and surrounding villages and we strongly recommend you to come and participate.
Last year most clubs gave an opportunity to members of the public to participate in a version of their sport. We saw tennis, cricket, football, baseball and cycling activities. The Godalming Angling Society had a “casting” competition and there was the opportunity to participate in Bowls and croquet.
Sport Godalming will provide you with a site and an arena for demonstrations, and a PA system. We will also ensure maximum publicity for the event with local newspaper and radio support, magazines, flyers and posters to promote the day.
