The first stage begins at 8am with the route taking cyclists along the A25, A248, A281, A320, A247 - in other words, from Reigate to west Horsley via Guildford, Mayford and Send.
The second stage is made up of many country roads with cyclists going up hill and down dale through Holmbury St Mary, Ockley, Cranleigh, Rowly, Chiddingfold, Witley, Godalming and Bramley, reaching Guildford at approximately 3.30pm.
These roads will not be closed for the whole day but will be closed at the time the cyclists are expected to arrive there. The roads will remain closed until the last vehicle in the Tour of Britain convoy has gone by. In Woking, where I live, there have been signs up for the last week with information about the road closures - I trust they have been put up on the rest of the route too! For more information about the closures, please visit the Go Surrey website.
